Below you will find various menus used at the Leo Cafe in Leo, Indiana until 1983. As you can see, they vary in appearance, and they also show how the menu prices increased over the years. I must apologize for the condition of these menus. I just found them among various artifacts from my days at the Leo Cafe. I wanted to share with you the prices that the Leo Cafe charged from 1977 to 1983. These prices were very competitive with those charged in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
As an example, in 1976, Azar’s Big Boy located in Fort Wayne, Indiana was charging $1.10 for Two Eggs, Hash Brown Potatoes, Buttered Toast and Jelly $1.10. Add a cup of coffee for 25 cents bringing the total to $1.35. The Leo Cafe in Leo, Indiana was charging 75 cents for Two Eggs, Toast and a Cup of Coffee. – Add 45 cents for a side of American Fries. That totaled $1.20 for it all and that included a cup of coffee.
Also included are samples of advertising that the Leo Cafe used from October of 1978 until 1983.
